Tournament date change: Lake Powell
The dates for the Lake Powell club tournament have been changed from October 6 & 7, 2007, to October 20 and 21. Please mark your calendars and hope to see you there.
Sorry for any inconvenience this change may have caused.
RMA sends our condolences to the family Kent Erickson, who passed away July 14, 2007, in Casper, Wyoming.
Kent was a former member of RMA and an innovative, accomplished angler. In the early 1990s Kent adapted the technique of spinner rigging from the long snells, light bottom bouncers and full night crawler popular in the Midwest, to short snells, heavier weights and half a crawler that worked better in our Utah reservoirs. He proved his spinner rigging technique in tournaments, and he shared his knowledge with anyone who would listen.

IMPORTANT:
Starvation Walleye Classic Up In the Air for 2007
The Duchesne County Area Chamber of Commerce (DCACC) has sent around a lengthy letter making two MAJOR announcements: 1.) Alice Larsen has left the organization to pursue other opportunities, and 2.) that DCACC will not be sponsoring the Starvation Walleye Classic in 2007. The DCACC is planning to hold a "family fun day" at Starvation on September 8. At this time (June 28, 2007) it is not known whether there will be a tournament at Starvation on September 8, although the DCACC says they are strongly encouraging "independent jackpot competitions" that weekend. More information will be posted here as it becomes available.
RMA extends our deepest gratitude to our good friend, Alice Larsen, for her dedication and hard work over the past 16 years of serving Utah's anglers. We wish the very best to her and her family in the future.
Come visit with Rocky Mountain Anglers in the Utah Anglers Coalition booth at the 2007 International Sportsmen's Expo, March 15 - 18, 2007, at the South Town Exposition Center in Sandy. See what's new and what's interesting at the show, and stop in and say hi while you're there!
ALSO - Learn about Utah walleyes at the Rocky Mountain Anglers Utah Walleye Workshop at the ISE show Thursday, March 15, 6:30 p.m. in the Fishing/Campfire Theater.
