RMA Members Take on Alaska

Alaska fishing doesn’t have to break the bank.

One of the benefits of being part of Rocky Mountain Anglers Utah is access to information, experience, and connections that can help members plan their own DIY, budget-friendly Alaska fishing adventures.

In 2026, RMA members and their families put that opportunity into action. John Sparks and his family, Robert McCabe and his family, Skip Name, Tim Name, Brent Poole, Wil Caddy, Dave Hanson, and Roman Frazier all made their own self-chartered Alaska fishing trips.

These weren't luxury resort vacations—they were member-planned adventures built around great fishing, shared knowledge, and keeping costs under control.

From planning and tackle to accommodations, transportation, and finding the fish, RMA members can share what they've learned to help others experience Alaska for themselves.

Below are some of the incredible catches from RMA members' 2026 Alaska adventures.
